Is chiropractic just for back pain?
Absolutely NOT! Many routinely opt for chiropractic care as a means of preventing disease and maintaining health. Some symptoms and problems that can be relieved by chiropractic care include: Stress, headaches, carpal tunnel, sciatica, fibromyalgia, fatigue, knee pain, neck pain, shoulder pain low back pain, etc. You also don’t need to come in only when you’re feeling hurt or sick, you can get adjusted to prevent any problems you might have in the future. Chiropractic care can help your body to maintain its healthy state, and regular spinal checkups can help and prevent spinal stress due to subluxations.

What should I expect during the Initial Visit?
During the initial visit, the doctor will do a complete chiropractic evaluation which includes spinal + postural evaluation, necessary orthopedic and neurological tests, and a computed thermography nerve scan. We will explain our findings and provide a treatment plan recommendation. You can expect a complete consultation, exam, and same-day treatment in 30-45 minutes.
What is the Computed Thermography Nerve Scan?
Computed Thermography Nerve Scan is a medical technology that is FDA approved as a neurodiagnostic procedure. At our office, this technology is utilized by scanning a temperature sensitive device over the skin. A computerized analysis produces a graph revealing problems in the body’s function. Heat is the first sign given by the body that there is a problem or dysfunction within.
What is a subluxation?
Subluxation (misalignment): A problem in the spine where an abnormal position/movement of the vertebrae disturbs communication within the Central Nervous System causing a disturbance in the body.
Is it bad to crack my own back or neck?
Yes. People often associate the "cracking or popping" of the back with a chiropractic adjustment. The two are not the same thing. If a person has the desire to pop his/her neck or back, it is usually because part of the spine is fixated and misaligned (subluxated) causing other parts to move too much and pop. It’s the fixated part that must be properly adjusted by way of a specific force given by a chiropractor so that the rest of the spine will stop being so movable and noisy. Even chiropractors can’t adjust themselves. When you crack your neck you’re relieving tension for a little while, but not giving yourself an adjustment. If you are not getting chiropractic care, after a while the urge to crack reappears because the spinal tension hasn’t been corrected.
Is it safe to see a chiropractor if I am pregnant?
Absolutely! Chiropractic care is safe for a pregnant woman, and in some cases it can actually alleviate the headaches, nausea, back pain and leg pain which are common during pregnancy. Dr. Grace is trained to treat expectant mothers and she uses a safe and gentle technique that helps to balance out the pelvic and abdominal musculature to eliminate intrauterine constraint.
